Autumn stars

This week I worked with white thistles, white roses and lilies and Ornithogalum Arabicum.

This lovely and very long lasting flower is also known as 'Star-of-Bethlehem' thanks to its star-shaped flowers, after the Star of Bethlehem that appeared at the birth of Jesus. I'm going to use this at Christmas time, and also in new baby bouquets...

Purple lisianthus and agapanthus in October

This week I worked with everyone's patio favourite - Agapanthus: strong and vibrant purple blooms mixed with delicate Queen Anne's Lace.

And Lisianthus - one of my very favourite flowers for their delicate twisted blooms and soft rose-like petals, paired with white roses.

To me Lisanthus spells R-O-M-A-N-C-E, but traditionally they represent charisma and congeniality, so are fit for a lover OR friend you admire for their va-va-voom!
